Andhra: Lokesh assures all help during Praja Darbar

Vijayawada, June 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT, Electronics and Education, Nara Lokesh, on Sunday assured the people of his Mangalagiri constituency that he will always stand by them.

Lokesh participated in a Praja Darbar (people’s court) for the second consecutive day on Sunday to have first hand information on the problems that the people of his home constituency were facing. People gathered in large numbers and narrated their problems to the minister.

Representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Veugu Teachers Association appealed to the minister that the services of the 2,193 employees who were now on contract basis, be regularised. A student, Jagadeesh, appealed for initiation of steps to clear the fee reimbursement dues to the Nuzvid College so he could collect his polytechnic certificate.

The non-teaching staff members of Acharya Nagarjuna University wanted their retirement age to be extended to 62 years while Sheik Nazina of Mangalagiri wanted financial assistance for her five-month-old nephew who is suffering from a strange disease.

Kolanukonda Rajeswari, an anganwadi helper from Vundavalli, informed Minister Nara Lokesh that the previous government did not give her promotion and requested him to direct the officials concerned to clear her promotion file.
