Anahita Vanare wins ‘Kathak Ashvamedha’ Maha Yagya

Bhopal: Celebrating the rich heritage of classical dance, the second edition of Kathak Ashvamedha concluded with grandeur at Shaheed Bhawan Auditorium. More than just a competition, the event was envisioned as a Maha Yagya, where young artists from across the nation offered their Nrityahuti—a tribute through dance.

Organized by Nirjhar Kala Sansthan, Nagpur, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from talented Kathak dancers representing various parts of India. While each performer brought their unique rhythm and grace to the stage, three standout artists emerged, symbolizing the future of Kathak.

Anahita Vanare from Baroda, Gujarat claimed the first position, followed by Manasvi Bhojane and Shivansh Kurm from Raipur who jointly secured the second place. Ganesh Borkute of Nagpur was awarded third position for his compelling performance.

Sameer Nafde, Founder of Nirjhar Kala Sansthan, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants and said that our mission is not just to promote classical arts, but to create meaningful platforms where young talent can shine and pave their way to national and international acclaim.

The winners were awarded cash prizes, trophies, and certificates, while the overwhelming presence of the audience turned the event into a vibrant celebration—proving that Kathak continues to thrive with pride, rhythm, and heartfelt emotion.
