Mumbai, Nov 13 (UNI) A video of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan driving his electric car through Mumbai’s Juhu area, near veteran actor Dharmendra’s bungalow, went viral on social media late last night.
As soon as fans realised that Bachchan had arrived, a large crowd gathered outside Dharmendra’s residence.
Dharmendra has been unwell for some time and was recently admitted to a hospital for treatment. He has now been shifted home, where he continues to receive medical care under doctors’ supervision. His wife Hema Malini and their six children are reportedly taking turns to care for him.
The friendship between Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra dates back decades to their iconic roles as Jai and Veeru in the timeless Bollywood classic ‘Sholay’. The duo also shared the screen in other films and their off-screen bond remains strong even today.
“It is a joy that Dharmendra has returned home. His health is now stable, but we are all still concerned about his condition. In such times, I need to remain emotionally strong. I request all fans to please pray for us,” Hema Malini appealed to the fans.
