Nanded, (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday declared that the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ has sent a clear message not only to Pakistan but to the entire world that India will not tolerate threats to its armed forces, people, or borders.
Addressing a ‘Shankhnaad’ rally here, he asserted that any aggression against India would be met with swift and decisive retaliation.
“Operation Sindoor has sent the message to not just Pakistan but also the world that no one can mess with our armed forces, people, and borders. Otherwise, the perpetrators will have to face consequences,” Shah said, referring to the recent military operation that targeted terror infrastructure across the border.
Condemning the Pahalgam attack by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists as an act of cowardice, Shah recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pledge in Patna to track down and punish those responsible, regardless of where they hide.
“Pakistan forgot that 11 years ago, there was a Congress government, but things have changed. We responded to the Uri, Pulwama, and Pahalgam strikes by striking terror bases,” he pointed.
Detailing the achievements of Operation Sindoor, Shah said that on May 7, Indian forces destroyed nine terror camps in just 22 minutes, while the nation’s air defence system successfully thwarted missile and drone attacks.
He further stated that on May 9, India’s armed forces neutralised Pakistan’s air defence system. “Modiji has declared that there would be retaliation if the blood of innocent Indian civilians is shed. If our women’s sindoor is harmed, the response will be bloodier,” Shah declared, emphasising the government’s commitment to national security.
Shah also reiterated the government’s resolve to eradicate Naxalism from the country by March 31, 2026.
“While Operation Sindoor was underway, Operation Black Forest—conducted by the CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, and BSF—neutralised several Naxalites, with many arrested or surrendering,” he said.
The Union Home Minister highlighted Modi’s decision to terminate the Indus Water Treaty, originally signed by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, and to end all trade with Pakistan.
“Modi has said trade and terror cannot go together,” Shah remarked.
Taking aim at the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), Shah criticised the party for mocking the all-party delegations as a “baraat” (wedding party).
“Had Balasaheb Thackeray been alive, he would have hugged Modi. But a Sena (UBT) leader called the delegations a ‘baraat’. I don’t know what has happened to the Uddhav Sena. They are calling the delegations a ‘baraat’ even though their own members are a part of it,” he added.
Shah also accused NCP chief Sharad Pawar of neglecting the demand for classical language status for Marathi, crediting Prime Minister Modi for fulfilling the long-standing request.
