Nizamabad (Telangana), Nov 24 (UNI) Union Home Minister and BJP senior leader Amit Shah declared plans for turmeric research in Nizamabad district to enhance the income of turmeric farmers.
During a public meeting held at Armor in this district as part of the election campaign on Friday, Amit Shah emphasised the establishment of the National Turmeric Board and revealed that research initiatives and processing units would be implemented in the next phase to benefit turmeric farmers.
In his address, Shah criticised the ruling BRS party, alleging mismanagement over the past decade and failure to fulfill promises made to the public in previous elections. He raised concerns about the allocation of lands for the bus complex, alleging occupation by a local MLA 30 years ago.
Shah questioned Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s decision to grant a ticket to someone who allegedly occupied the land.
He pledged to establish an exclusive hospital for beedi workers and an NRI Ministry to address the issues of NRIs from Telangana.
Touching upon Telangana Liberation Day, Shah accused Chandrasekhar Rao of avoiding the program due to fear of the Owaisi of MIM.
He promised to organise the event officially if the BJP comes to power. Addressing alleged corruption in Kaleshwaram and other projects, Shah vowed to punish those involved and recover illegally obtained funds.
Shah made additional promises, including the reduction of GST on petrol and diesel, an MSP of Rs. 3,100 for paddy, extension of Fasal Bima Yojana without any premium from farmers, and the commitment to make a BC Chief Minister, as pledged in the past. He criticized the Congress for delaying the construction of the Rama Temple and highlighted the BJP’s commitment to the temple’s completion, offering free travel to Ayodhya if the BJP comes to power in Telangana.
