Hyderabad, July 12 (UNI) Amazon.in announced on Friday that the company is collaborating with more than 50,000 content creators across the country as part of its Amazon Influencer Programme. Over 10 percent of these creators are from Telangana, reflecting Amazon’s focus on regional representation, said Kishore Thota, Director, Shopping Experience, India & Emerging Markets, Amazon, in a press conference here.
Hundreds of these creators are also part of the Amazon Live programme, an interactive platform where viewers can engage directly with creators and brand representatives.
Hundreds of creators will run over 300 live streams across categories, including mobiles, home appliances, home decor, fashion, and beauty, among many others, for Prime Day 2024, he said.
In addition, seven brands, including Motorola, Samsung, and Forever21, are launching flagship products on Amazon Live during Prime Day on July 20 and 21, 2024, he informed.
Recognising the importance of creator education, Amazon recently launched Creator University, and through this equips creators with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in the creator economy.
It boasts a comprehensive curriculum, valuable industry insights, and fosters a collaborative community for creators to connect and share knowledge. He said that through these programmes, these 50,000+ social media creators will play a crucial role in educating customers about deals and empowering them to make informed purchasing decisions during Prime Day.

As many as 450 new brands will be launched during the prime day, he said. In 2020 (during COVID), , 5 lakh sellers on the Amazon platform, and now it has scaled up to 14 lakh sellers, including 50,000 sellers from Telangana state alone.
Prime members can access thousands of deals across a wide range of products. From global brands to Indian favourites and products from small businesses, Amazon promises significant savings throughout the two-day event, he said.
Partner offers, including 10 percent off using specific bank cards and EMI transactions, will further enhance the shopping experience for customers. Entertainment enthusiasts can enjoy a thrilling lineup of new shows and movies in multiple languages on Prime Video, including the much-awaited new seasons of Mirzapur and The Boys, he said.
