Chennai, Feb 9 (UNI) The Food Corporation of India, Zonal Sports and Cultural Promotion Committee (South), under the aegis of the FCI Headquarters, Sports and Cultural Promotion Board and the All India Public Sector Sports Control Board, is set to organize the All India Public Sector Hockey Tournament 2026 from 11th to 15th February, 2026 at Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium, Egmore, Chennai.
This prestigious national-level tournament will feature top hockey players representing leading Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) from across the country, reinforcing the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and unity through sports.
A PIB release here today said the participating teams include the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), Canara Bank, union Bank of India, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), Coal India Limited, and Food Corporation of India (FCI).
The tournament aims to promote physical fitness, enthusiasm for sports, and cultural bonding among PSU employees, while also identifying and nurturing sporting talent at the national level.
Over the course of five days, these teams and players will compete in high-intensity matches, not only for the championship title but also for a place in the All India Public Sector Hockey Team for the bilateral hockey series to be played between Oman and AIPSSCB combined team.
As India’s national game, Hockey will once again serve as a platform to showcase excellence, collaboration, and competitive spirit.
The event is expected to attract players, officials, and hockey enthusiasts from across the country, positioning Chennai as the hub of national-level hockey action during this period.
