New Delhi, Dec 24 (UNI) Actor Ali Fazal has sent fans into a frenzy by sharing the first-ever sneak peek of his iconic character ‘Guddu Bhaiya’ from ‘Mirzapur: The Film.’
The upcoming cinematic adaptation marks India’s first series-to-film expansion, bringing the gritty world of Mirzapur to the big screen.
Shot against the stunning landscapes of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, the brief clip focuses on ‘Guddu Bhaiya’s’ unmistakable backshot walk, capturing the sheer intensity and dominance that have made the character legendary.
With no dialogues, the video relies entirely on screen presence, hinting at the raw power and cinematic scale the film promises.
Ali Fazal shared his excitement in a statement, “Stepping back into Guddu Bhaiya’s world is always intense. This character carries a certain weight, a silence that speaks louder than words. Filming in Jaisalmer has added a whole new texture to the story, and this is just a small glimpse of the journey we’re on. There’s a lot more coming, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience it on the big screen.”
On Instagram, he posted, “MIRZAPUR THE FILM. Shooting now. Rajasthan Schedule. Thank you Jaisalmer and Jodhpur for the immense love and hospitality that knows no bounds. Aapne humein apna samjha… To all the hotels that made us feel at home while we were toiling away from our own homes.”
The film adaptation of the Prime Video crime thriller, which explores power struggles and the criminal underworld of northern India, is set to release in 2026.
Series creator Puneet Krishna returns to oversee the project, with Gurmmeet Singh, who directed 17 episodes of the original series, helming the film, according to Variety.
