New Delhi, March 20 (UNI) Air India has unveiled a series of festive culinary offerings across its in-flight services and airport lounges, celebrating India’s cultural diversity through food.
As part of its special initiative for Eid, the airline will serve the traditional Eid dessert, Sheer Khurma, on all flights departing March 20.
The dish will be available across all cabin classes and routes, including domestic, international, and return sectors, ensuring a uniform festive experience for passengers. On flights with multiple meal services, the dessert will be included in the main meal service.
The airline said the programme is being implemented in collaboration with leading catering partners such as TajSATS, Oberoi Flight Services, Casino Air Caterers and Flight Services (CAFS), and Ambassador’s Sky Chef to maintain consistent quality across its network.
Festive offerings extend beyond the skies. At Delhi airport, the newly launched Maharaja Lounge is serving a Navratri thali featuring dishes like sabudana khichdi, paneer preparations, kheer, and buttermilk.
Meanwhile, the Adani Lounge in Mumbai marked Gudi Padwa on March 19 with sweets such as shrikhand, gujiya, and modak.
The Mumbai lounge will also host a special Eid menu on March 21, offering dishes including biryani, kebabs, shahi tukda, and phirni.
According to the airline, the initiative reflects its commitment to enhancing passenger experience by blending hospitality with India’s rich culinary traditions, creating memorable journeys for travellers across its global network.
