New Delhi, Feb 28 (UNI) Following the suspension of Israeli airspace, Air India diverted its Delhi–Tel Aviv flight to Mumbai on Saturday.
Israel has carried out strikes against Iran, which has led to the closure of several airspaces for flight operations.
In a statement, the airline said its February 28 Delhi-Tel Aviv flight, AI139, was diverted back to India due to the closure of Israeli airspace and to ensure the safety of those on board.
An official from the airline said the flight is now heading to Mumbai after being diverted.
The airline further stated that it will continuously review the security environment and proactively modify its flight operations when necessary.
Meanwhile, IndiGo stated that it is actively tracking developments around Iran and changes to its airspace.
In a post on X, the airline said its teams are ready to make any required changes as the situation develops and advised passengers to verify their flight status before leaving for the airport.
