Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal marked the 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar with a series of impactful events from April 11th to April 14th, 2025. The celebrations included a four-day Blood Donation Drive, community health outreach programs, a medical camp, and a commemorative ceremony that highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s lasting contributions to social justice, equality, and nation-building. The main event was held on April 14th, 2025, at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Bhavan. In this program, Dr. Rajnish Joshi, Dean (Academics), and Col. Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director (Administration), were present on the dais.
The program began with the garlanding of Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait and an oath-taking ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Arun Kokane, Professor & Head, Department of Community & Family Medicine. A series of addresses, cultural performances, and educational presentations followed.
