- With global research insights
Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal continues to reinforce its commitment to advanced cancer care, research and innovation, ensuring patients benefit from the latest national and global developments. In this direction, Dr. Akansha Choudhary, Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology, represented the institute at the prestigious 9th Year End Review in Lung Cancer, held from December 19 to 21.
Organised by faculty from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, the conference brought together leading lung cancer specialists from premier institutions across India. Dr. Choudhary played multiple faculty roles and presented a significant study conducted by Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, on the use of a digital app for supportive care in lung cancer patients. She emphasised the need to promote such app-based care in India to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
Her insights on rare lung cancer mutations and supportive care were widely appreciated. At AIIMS Bhopal, patients already benefit from personalised treatments, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy, guided by advanced diagnostic tools.
