AIIMS Bhopal continues to excel in academics and research. A recent example of this progress was the stellar performance by AIIMS Bhopal’s faculty and resident doctors at the “ACUITY – A Confluence of Ideas, Sadguru Conclave – 2025,” held in Chitrakoot and organized by the Sadguru Group and the All India Ophthalmological Society.
Second-year Junior Residents Dr. Pratyush and Dr. Esther secured the runner-up position in the paper/poster presentation segment. Their research—on the “Prevalence, Pattern and Attributable Risk Factors of Presenile Cataract” and “The Tale of a Displaced Eyeball”—demonstrated their strong academic foundation and dedication to medical research. The award was presented by Padma Shri awardees and senior experts, adding prestige to their achievement.
In a further moment of pride, Prof. (Dr.) Bhavana Sharma, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, received the esteemed “Sadguru Seva Medal” for her outstanding contributions in cornea and cataract care. This award reflects her long-standing service and impact in the field of ophthalmology.
