AIIMS Bhopal launches innovative medical book on clinical physiology

A new medical book titled “Clinical Physiology: A Problem-Solving Approach” was launched at AIIMS Bhopal, authored by Dr. Varun Malhotra, Additional Professor in the Department of Physiology. The book was formally unveiled by Prof. (Dr.) Madhabananda Kar, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, in the presence of faculty members, doctors, and students.

Published by SLC India Publishers, New Delhi, the book introduces an innovative learning model that moves beyond conventional teaching methods. It helps students understand how physiological changes in the human body manifest as disease symptoms through real patient-based examples. The foreword has been written by Dr. Santosh Wakode, Head of Physiology, and the illustrations are by Dr. Brijesh Kumar, Additional Professor of Anatomy.

Congratulating Dr. Malhotra, Prof. Kar remarked that the book will enhance students’ analytical and decision-making skills. Dr. Malhotra shared that his goal was to simplify complex physiological concepts and link them directly to practical patient care.
