AIIMS Bhopal joins car rally to promote organ donation awareness

Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal, under the leadership of Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, actively participated in the Organ Donation Awareness Car Rally, reaffirming its commitment to healthcare advocacy. Organized jointly by the Gandhi Medical College Alumni Organization and Kiran Foundation, the rally aimed to educate the public, dispel myths, and encourage organ donation pledges to save lives.

The rally was flagged off by Honorable Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel from Raj Bhavan, marking the start of this impactful initiative. Starting at Atal Path, Smart City New Market, the rally made its way to Gandhi Medical College (GMC), Bhopal, where a press conference took place to discuss upcoming initiatives for the Jubilee Year. The event was attended by dignitaries, including Honorable MP Shri Alok Sharma, along with members from the Nursing Home Organization, Indian Medical Association, and Bhopal Orthopedic Society.

AIIMS Bhopal was well-represented by Dr. Bhavana Sharma and Dr. Yogesh Niwariya, who participated in the rally. Prof. Singh emphasized the importance of organ donation, stating, “Organ donation can save multiple lives. Our involvement in this rally highlights our commitment to raising awareness about brain-dead organ donation and facilitating transplant procedures. We encourage everyone to overcome misconceptions and pledge their organs to make a meaningful difference.”
