AIIMS Bhopal hosts “Library 360°” workshop highlighting digital transformation

Bhopal: Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Central Library at AIIMS Bhopal successfully organized a one-day workshop titled “Library 360°: Tools, Tech, and Transformation” as part of National Library Week celebrations.

The event was inaugurated by the Acting Director and Dean (Academics), Prof. (Dr.) Rajnish Joshi, who served as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Gupta, Officiating Medical Superintendent, Prof. (Dr.) S. Balakrishnan, Dean (Student Welfare), and Prof. (Dr.) Garima Goyal, Chairperson of the Library Committee.

In his address, Prof. Joshi noted that modern libraries have evolved far beyond traditional book repositories, becoming comprehensive knowledge hubs powered by digital tools, artificial intelligence, e-resources, and advanced research support systems. He praised the Central Library for its continuous efforts in promoting innovation and digitization.

The workshop introduced participants to the 360-degree transformation of library services, focusing on digital resource management, modern technologies, information literacy, and enhanced user services. Three technical sessions—featuring panel discussions and interactive Q&A segments—were conducted.

Librarians from various government and private institutions across Bhopal participated actively, sharing valuable insights. The Central Library team reaffirmed AIIMS Bhopal’s commitment to building a user-centric, digitally empowered, and future-ready library ecosystem.
