Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal, under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, organized a successful blood donation drive on World Blood Donor Day, 14th June 2025. The Department of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank, along with the Resident Doctors’ Welfare Council, Nursing Council, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), hosted the event at the Blood Centre.
The camp, held from 9 AM to 5 PM, saw 101 voluntary donors, including ITBP jawans, students, staff, and medical professionals, donate blood. All participants received certificates of appreciation. The event was graced by Col. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director (Administration), and ITBP dignitaries including Shri Sanjeev Raina (IG), Dr. Shashi Mehar, and Shri Girish Chandra Upadhyay.
Engaging activities like poster making, slogan writing, quiz contests, and short film competitions were held. A special SDP donor recruitment drive also drew strong participation. Prof. Singh praised the collective spirit, calling blood donation a noble act and reaffirmed AIIMS Bhopal’s dedication to such humanitarian efforts.
