New Delhi, January 7 (UNI) In a sharp escalation of rhetoric against both India and Afghanistan, Pakistan’s military spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Tuesday issued a provocative challenge, daring the two countries to take military action against Pakistan.

In an unusual and confrontational move, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also publicly named several Indian social media accounts and television clips, alleging they were being run by “RAW agents” as part of a coordinated campaign to target Pakistan’s military establishment.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the DG ISPR said, “Pakistan mein uparwale ne badi barkat di hai, tumhe jo karna hai kar lo. Dayein se aao, baayein se aao, upar se aao ya neeche se. akele aao ya ikkathe aao, agar ek baar mazaa na kara diya to paise wapis (God has blessed Pakistan a lot, do whatever you want, come from the right, come from the left, come from above or come from below, come alone or come together, if you don’t have fun once then your money will be back).”

“How the year 2026 will be, will depend on how we stand, how we react. The will of our opponent is clear. India will not accept your existence. It is saying that the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” Chaudhry went on to add.

Meanwhile, while reacting sharply to Chaudhry’s comments, Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson in a statement said that Pakistan military spokesperson’s gestures were in conflict with the statements expected froma responsible miliary office.

Mujahid said in a post on X: “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns such irresponsible and provocative statements in the strongest terms and demands from Pakistan’s relevant institutions that they exceed the scope of the official stance. Instead of baseless propaganda against Afghanistan, focus on resolving your internal issues.”.

The spokesperson stated that Afghanistan is a sovereign and stable country, possessing a strong security framework and authoritative leadership, and it maintains complete sovereignty over its entire territory.

“We want to state in clear terms that interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs and threatening statements are in no way acceptable to the Afghan nation. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan appeals to Pakistan’s relevant institutions to adopt a responsible approach and serious statements, keeping in mind the sensitivities of relations between the two countries,” the subsequent posts read.
