- Process of reshuffle of IAS officers in Chief Minister’s Secretariat continues

After the deployment of IAS officers in the field, now it is the turn of the ministry. In the ministry too, there will be a change in the responsibilities of the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary and Secretary level officers.
After the field deployment, there will be a new deployment in the ministry. Whenever the transfer list is released, the Chief Minister’s Secretariat is definitely included in it. Here too, the process of new deployment is going on. Here, Additional Chief Secretary Home SN Mishra is retiring today. After him, there is a possibility of posting an Additional Chief Secretary level officer in the Home Department. In such a situation, the names of two officers are ahead for this post, these include Additional Chief Secretary General Administration Department Sanjay Dubey and Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Department Anupam Rajan. In February, Additional Chief Secretary Ajit Kesari will also retire. During this period, Anirudh Mukherjee and Sanjay Shukla will be promoted to the post of Additional Chief Secretary respectively. The new appointment is expected to take place in the first week of February.
Bharat Yadav and Lavania’s transfers shocked everyone
The transfers of some officers in the recent transfers have shocked the administrative corridors. No one had anticipated that Bharat Yadav could be removed from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. He was considered a trusted officer of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, but the complaints against him proved costly for him and eventually this trusted officer was removed not only from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat but also from the Ministry. The same was the case with Avinash Lavania. Lavania is also considered to be one of the officers who perform by keeping self at low profile, but he was also relieved of the responsibility of Secretary from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and was given the responsibility of MD Power Management Company. Lavania was promoted to the post of Secretary this month, an attempt has been made to replace him in the form of CB Chakraborty. He has been given the responsibility of Commissioner of Urban Administration and Development along with Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Chances of change in CM Secretariat
There may be more changes in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in the coming days. It is possible that one officer each of the Principal Secretary and Secretary level may be posted. Here, only Dr. Rajesh Rajoura is the Additional Chief Secretary, he has the responsibility of Narmada Valley Development Department and Water Resources Department. The same is the situation with Raghavendra Singh. He is the Principal Secretary of the CM along with the responsibility of Industrial Investment and Promotion Department.
Officers will also be posted in the Transport Department
Manish Singh has been promoted from Additional Secretary to Secretary this month. In the order issued on 30 December 2024, he was retained on the responsibility of Secretary Transport Department after promotion, he also had the additional responsibility of MD MP State Road Development Corporation Bhopal and CEO Inter State Transport Authority Bhopal, but now he has been posted as Secretary of Jail Department instead of Transport.
