Action against health employees for negligence

Bhopal: Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Dr. Manish Sharma, has issued notices to 18 employees for failing to properly implement Health Department schemes at the field level. Disciplinary measures, including potential suspensions and salary increment halts, are being considered due to their lack of engagement in maternal health services.

The review of health services in the Kolar and Govindpura areas revealed a concerning low number of pre-natal registrations on the Anmol portal. Dr. Sharma expressed strong dissatisfaction with the employees’ performance and announced that action would be taken against the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) in Ward 51, as well as salary increment stops for ANMs in Wards 82 and 84. Daily portal-based reviews have been mandated for better oversight.
