In the ongoing Sasand Chaturmas in Ashoka Garden Jain Temple, Acharya Guruover 108 is engaged in telling importance of penance, self-control, sacrifice and religion in Dashalakshan festival under the guidance of Shri Arjava Sagar Ji Maharaj ji. Today, on the day of the best renunciation festival, Acharya Gurusar said that being free from worldly things or giving up attachment to substances is called renunciation.
Describing these lines poignantly, he said that even after giving up all the things which increase the sin in the world, the sages who offer knowledge and all-round vows to other saintly people, their renunciation is religion. He said that in this world, all the materialistic possessions which we desire are definitely attained one day at a time.
And if they leave those things, then the human feels very sad but when the possessions are left with intelligent enthusiasm then there is a feeling of great joy and a similar renunciation is considered great in the path of salvation. The more happiness and worldly things are received, the more it continues to be in the state of the world.
Maharaj ji, in the “Dashalakshan Parva Dharma”, citing the best sacrifice example, said that if water is not extracted from the well, it spoils, if the paan is not turned, it rots, if the roti is not turned it burns. Therefore, if the money is not donated, then after death, it is left in the ground. A small seed makes a big tree with a large shade.
