Bhopal: The High Court has granted conditional bail to a youth who raised anti-national slogans in Misrod area. The accused youth will have to salute the tricolor flag installed in front of the police station 21 times every month till the case is going on and will also have to raise slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai every time. The police officers will be responsible for implementing the instructions of the court.
According to the information, in May 2024, a youth named Faizal alias Faizan Khan was raising anti-national slogans in Misrod area. The police had registered a case against the accused and sent him to jail. When the matter reached Jabalpur High Court, he was granted bail with a bond of Rs 50 thousand.
The judge has said in the bail order that Faizal Khan will attend on the first and fourth Tuesday of every month between 10 am to 12 noon. Along with this, he will salute the tricolor flag installed in the police station premises 21 times and will also say Bharat Mata Ki Jai every time.
Misrod police station in-charge Manishraj Singh Bhadoria said that the High Court’s bail order has come to notice. The court’s orders will be followed. This was the case, Mandideep resident Faizal alias Faizan used to run a puncture shop in Misrod area. On the day of the incident, he was raising anti-national slogans near Vrindavan Dhaba. People around stopped him from doing so, but he did not listen. On this, people made a video of him raising slogans and went to the police station and lodged a complaint. The police registered a case against the accused under section 153 B and arrested him and sent him to jail.
Accused held for extortion, sword used in crime recovered
The accused who was being stubborn with a Dhaba operator in Kolar area has been arrested. The sword used in the crime has been recovered from him. One of the accused’s accomplices is currently absconding, who is being searched. According to the police, Sandeep Khatri, a resident of Amra Vihar Colony Kolar Road, had come to eat food at the Dhaba located on Kolar Road with one of his friends. When the Dhaba operator asked for the bill, Sandeep and his friend started abusing. Sandeep brandished a sword and said that he will not pay the bill and started demanding a thousand rupees for drinking alcohol. On the report of the Dhaba operator, the police had registered a case against Sandeep and his friend under various sections including assault and extortion.
