- Samardeep qualified for Asian Games-2026 Japan
Bhopal: 28th National Federation Senior Athletics Championship-2025 was organized in Kochi from 21 to 24 April 2025. In the national competition held in Kochi, the athletics players of Sports Academy performed brilliantly and won 03 gold medals.
In pole vault, Shri Dev Meena created a national record by winning the gold medal by jumping 5.35 m in the Madhya Pradesh Pole Vault event. In women’s 3000 m steeplechase, Ms. Manju Yadav won the gold medal with a timing of 10:34.08 seconds. In the shot-put event, Samarjit Singh won the gold medal by throwing the ball 19.34 m away and qualified for the Asian Games-2026 Japan.
Sports Minister congratulates
Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang has praised the excellent sports performance of all the medal winning players of the Sports Academy. He congratulated Samardeep Singh on qualifying for the Asian Games. Director Sports and Youth Welfare Shri Rakesh Gupta has praised the performance of Samardeep, Manju Yadav and Deva Meena wholeheartedly. He has described it as the result of hard work of all the players and trainers.
