AAP questions BJP govt over recurring bomb threats to Delhi schools

New Delhi, Sept 20 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party today criticized the Centre and Delhi Police after two schools in the national Capital reportedly received fresh bomb threats, creating panic among the students and parents.

The party alleged that despite repeated threats over the past year, no arrests have been made and security measures have not been strengthened.

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, in a post on X, said bomb threats to schools were spreading fear across the city. “Delhi’s schools are repeatedly receiving bomb threats. Panic spreads everywhere, schools are forced to shut, and fear grips children and parents. Yet, for the past one year, not a single culprit has been caught and no action has been taken,” he wrote.

Atishi, leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, also raised concerns, saying parents were forced to live in constant fear. She said the government and police had failed to ensure safety despite the recurring incidents.

Ankush Narang, leader of Opposition in the MCD House, added that the threats were not only disrupting schools but also raising serious questions about the city’s security preparedness. He said repeated threats had caused distress for families, but authorities had neither caught the culprits nor taken visible steps to improve safety.

AAP further recalled that threats had previously been issued to the Delhi High Court as well. The party alleged that investigative agencies and Delhi Police had not made progress in tracing the source of the calls and asked when responsibility would be fixed for Delhi’s security.
