New Delhi, March 15 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Delhi State President Saurav Bhardwaj today alleged that a video of an Additional SHO from Bharat Nagar Police Station suggests that whenever police act against drug peddlers, calls are received from the Chief Minister and BJP leaders, after which the accused are released.
Based on this video, AAP has accused the Delhi government of being involved in a drug nexus and demanded accountability, including the resignation of the Chief Minister.
Bhardwaj also raised concerns over alleged drug-related activities in several Delhi areas, including Seemapuri, Vikaspuri and Sultanpuri, and claimed that minors are increasingly being trapped in the drug trade.
Questioning the investigation into a recent incident in Bharat Nagar, he stated that he had raised the issue with the Delhi Police Commissioner, but alleged that no action was taken.
As of now, the Delhi Police haven’t commented anything on the matter. There is also no reply from the ruling Delhi government.
