AAP accuses BJP of institutionalizing fraud, urges public action

New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Wednesday launched a sharp critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government, alleging that fraudulent practices have become institutionalized. He stated that “deceit runs in the DNA of the BJP government” and called upon citizens to democratically mobilize to protect the country.
Speaking to media, Bharadwaj claimed the BJP’s “culture of manipulation” was visible across various sectors. He cited multiple instances to support his allegations, though these claims were presented from his party’s perspective without independent verification.
He referenced the Chandigarh mayoral election, where the Supreme Court had criticized the electoral process and ordered a reelection after observing malpractice in the vote-counting. “In such a small election, the presiding officer appointed by BJP government was caught on CCTV tampering with ballots,” Bharadwaj said.
On Delhi’s environmental issues, Bharadwaj claimed that while the city faces severe air pollution, the government has “brazenly manipulated AQI data.” He also alleged that instead of cleaning the heavily polluted Yamuna river, authorities had “created a fake Yamuna,” though he did not provide specifics about what he was alluding to.
The AAP leader further accused the BJP of tampering with Delhi’s voter lists. He recalled that during Delhi Assembly elections, party convener Arvind Kejriwal had claimed that 42,000 voters disappeared from his constituency over successive elections. “Where did these voters go?” Bharadwaj questioned.
Bharadwaj asserted that BJP leaders have “mastered the art of fraud” and suggested they might be interfering with Election Commission processes and Electronic Voting Machines. “Even when caught, they never apologize. Instead, they glorify deceit as Chanakya Niti,” he added.
