New Delhi: On the eve of Rajasthan Diwas, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma unveiled the ambitious Rajasthan Mandapam and Allied Infrastructure Project at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur, marking a major step towards world-class urban development in the state.
The project, to be executed by NBCC and developed by RIICO, is estimated at over 5,800 crore and will be built across more than 90 acres near Jaipur International Airport. With a total built-up area exceeding 94.53 lakh sq ft, the master plan features a state-of-the-art convention centre, expansive expo halls, Global Capability Centres, IT/ITES office spaces, hotels, retail hubs, residential units, and a Natural History Museum.
At its core, the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre will host international conferences, exhibitions, and cultural events, with a grand auditorium accommodating around 6,500 people. The development will also include a fintech plaza, Unity Mall, and revitalised riverfront public spaces along the Dravyawati River.
Designed with a strong focus on sustainability, connectivity, and pedestrian-friendly spaces, the project aims to create a vibrant mixed-use ecosystem blending business, tourism, and culture.
NBCC will implement the project through a self-financing model, ensuring transparency and efficiency. Tenders are expected to be floated in April, signalling the transition to the execution phase.
The initiative received an enthusiastic response from industry leaders and stakeholders, who praised its scale and transformative potential. The project is set to redefine Jaipur’s urban landscape and position it as a leading global hub for conventions, commerce, and cultural exchange.
