Bhopal: Director General of Police Kailash Makwana chaired a comprehensive review meeting with Deputy Inspectors General to assess the recently concluded police recruitment process and outline measures to enhance transparency, fairness and efficiency in future drives.

During the meeting, emphasis was laid on maintaining the highest standards of integrity and strict adherence to prescribed procedures at every stage. Officials discussed ground-level challenges, particularly difficulties faced by candidates from remote areas in accessing examination centres and related facilities.

The review highlighted the adoption of robust systems to ensure transparency, including fingerprint-based verification, facial recognition, iris scanning, medical examinations and thorough document scrutiny. A software-based data management and online upload system was also used to maintain secure digital records, supported by parallel manual systems to address technical contingencies.

Physical efficiency tests, including running, shot put and long jump, were conducted as per norms under continuous monitoring, with timely compilation of results.

It was also noted that certain recruitment-related matters are sub judice. Officials who contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the process were felicitated during the meeting.
