Jaipur, March 14 (UNI) In a big reshuffle in the police administration in Rajasthan, 64 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been transferred late Friday night.
This seemed more to be a performance based exercise than a routine administrative drill, as 41 of the total 64 officers have been changed chairs for the second time within a period of 8 months.
As many as 10 officers got second transfer order for new assignment within six to four months, the transfer list revealed.
This midnight exercise also resulted in change of district superintendent of police in 22 of the total 41 districts in the state.
This is the second list of transfers in police brasses recently. About 3 weeks back too, a major reshuffle was effected in the top police administration, with transfer of 21 officers of the rank of the Inspector General (IGs) or above, on February 23/24 last month.
