Training for transport sub-inspector trainees begins

Bhopal: A 90-day foundation training programme for 20 newly recruited Transport Sub-Inspector trainees commenced at the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy in Bhopal on Monday. The inaugural ceremony was held in the presence of Transport Commissioner Umesh Joga and Deputy Director of the academy Dr Sanjay Kumar Agrawal.

The training programme aims to equip the trainees with professional skills through a combination of indoor and outdoor sessions. The curriculum will include classroom lectures, practical field exercises, firing practice and computer-based technical training to familiarise officers with modern policing methods and transport management systems.

Addressing the trainees, the Transport Commissioner emphasised the importance of thorough knowledge of transport laws and their effective enforcement. He advised the officers to remain technologically updated, adopt a practical approach in their duties and maintain a sensitive attitude towards the public.

Dr Agrawal outlined the training framework and briefed participants about the academy’s activities. Deputy Superintendent of Police Tilak Raj Pradhan proposed the vote of thanks.
