Chennai, Mar 7 (UNI) Two days after his re-induction and as part of strengthening the party apparatus ahead of the Assembly polls, the principal Opposition AIADMK has appointed former Minister Vellamandi N Natarajan as the Organising Secretary.
In a statement here, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) announced his appointment with immediate effect.
Mr. Natarajan is a senior leader of the party and a former Minister who has long served the movement with dedication and commitment.
Having held key organisational responsibilities in the Tiruchirapalli Urban District unit of the party, he brings with him extensive administrative experience and deep familiarity with the party’s grassroots structure.
The appointment comes at a crucial juncture as the AIADMK continues to strengthen its organisational network across Tamil Nadu ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.
In a statement issued by party headquarters, Mr. Palaniswami called upon all party functionaries, office-bearers and cadres to extend their full cooperation and support to Mr. Vellamandi Natarajan in carrying out his responsibilities and further strengthening the party.
Under the leadership of Mr. Palaniswami, the AIADMK continues to consolidate its organisational structure and expand its outreach among the people as part of its ongoing efforts to take forward the legacy of Puratchi Thalaivar MGR and Puratchi Thalaivi Amma (Jayalalithaa) , it said.
Natarajan rejoined the AIADMK few days back after ousted leader O Panneerselvam, with whom he served a s a loyalist, joined the ruling DMK.
