By Special Correspondent

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Police has initiated work on the advanced digital platform e-Forensic 2.0 (Beta) at the State Cyber Forensic Laboratory to make cyber crime investigations more effective, transparent and technology-driven. The system was launched by Director General of Police Kailash Makwana.

The platform is a key component of the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS), aimed at linking the police, courts, prosecution and forensic institutions on a unified digital network to streamline evidence collection, examination and reporting in criminal cases.

The system is currently being integrated with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS). Once the integration is completed next month, police stations across the State will be able to submit online requests through CCTNS to the e-Forensic portal for forensic examination and evidence analysis.

The platform offers features such as digital e-sign, real-time case tracking, automated SMS and email alerts, and partial reporting, enabling faster and more transparent forensic procedures.

Senior cyber police officials were present at the launch.
