Tirumala, March 6 (UNI) Telangana Jagruti President and daughter of former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday morning offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy at the Tirumala temple.
Kavitha, accompanied by her husband Anil, visited the temple in the morning and had darshan of the presiding deity. She had reached Tirumala on Thursday evening on foot through the Alipiri steps as part of fulfilling a vow.
Speaking to the media after the darshan, Kavitha said the mental anguish she had been facing for the past four years had ended with the grace of Lord Venkateswara.
She said she had always maintained that truth, justice and righteousness were on their side and expressed happiness that she had received a complete clean chit.
“With the blessings of the Lord, I have received a clean chit. That is why I came on foot to Tirumala and fulfilled my vow,” she said.
Kavitha also indicated that she would soon launch a new political party aimed at representing the aspirations of the people of Telangana.
“We are planning to form a political party in the coming days to work as a Telangana home party for the people of the state. I prayed to the Lord that the new party should receive his blessings and grace,” she added.
She further said that though Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are separate states, people of both regions should live together in harmony. Kavitha said she prayed for the welfare and prosperity of the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
