Grateful to celebrate Holi: Preity Zinta on being safely back amid global unrest

Mumbai, (UNI) Actor Preity Zinta on Wednesday expressed relief and gratitude after returning safely to Mumbai following what she described as a “very stressful trip” from overseas, even as she extended prayers to those affected by global unrest.

Taking to her official Instagram page, she penned, “So grateful to be back home in Mumbai after a very stressful trip from across the world. Even more grateful to be safe & to be able to celebrate Holi. It’s been a rough couple of weeks for people around the world and my heart and prayers are for all those people who are suffering and away from their families and in need of security, food, love and warmth. I pray to God to look after all of you.”

She further wished fellow Indians “Happy Holi” with “loads of love and light.”

On February 28, massive explosions rocked Tehran after Israel launched what it described as “preventive” missile strikes against Iran, dramatically escalating tensions in the region. The developments unfolded amid strained relations between the United States and Iran over discussions concerning a possible nuclear agreement.

Zinta is making her acting comeback with the historical action drama “Lahore 1947”, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, scheduled for a 2026 release. She stars alongside Sunny Deol in this film, which wrapped production in late 2025. She is also reportedly considering roles in “Heeramandi” Season 2 and a new YRF project.
