Belagavi, March 5 (UNI) CP Radhakrishnan arrived in Belagavi on Thursday and was warmly received at the airport by Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, Minister Satish Jarkiholi and other dignitaries.
During his visit, the Vice President will participate as the chief guest at the inauguration of the Rajagopuram, Kalasarohan and Mahakumbhabhishekam ceremony at Sri Veerabhadreshwar Temple, Yadur in Belagavi district.
The temple, located in Yadur village in Chikodi taluk, is an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva, and is a prominent pilgrimage centre in the region.
The ceremonies mark the consecration of the newly constructed Rajagopuram and are part of traditional rituals performed following renovation and development works at the temple.
