BJP nominates Nitin Nabin to Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, March 3 (UNI) The BJP on Tuesday nominated party president Nitin Nabin as a Rajya Sabha candidate from Bihar. The party’s list of nine candidates includes Nitin Nabin (Bihar); Shivesh Kumar (Bihar); Terash Gowalla (Assam); Jogen Mohan (Assam); Laxmi Verma (Chhattisgarh); Sanjay Bhatia (Haryana); Manmohan Samal (Odisha); Sujeet Kumar (Odisha) and Rahul Sinha (West Bengal).

The biennial elections to 37 seats in the Rajya Sabha will be held on March 16. States where the seats are falling vacant in April are Maharashtra (seven), Tamil Nadu (six), West Bengal (five), Bihar (five), Odisha (four), Assam (three), Telangana (two), Chhattisgarh (two), Haryana (two), and Himachal Pradesh (one).
