Tehran, March 3 (UNI) The Indian Embassy has issued an advisory and update on Tuesday that Indian students who were staying in Tehran have been relocated to safer locations outside Tehran due to the escalating tension.
The Indian Embassy has arranged facilities such as accommodation, food, and transportation for the Indian students. Only those students will be in Tehran who have refused the Embassy’s offer.
The advisory issued earlier remains unchanged for the Indian students and Indian nationals who still remain in Iran. The advisories include “Stay where you are, remain indoors as far as possible, and stay away from windows. Exercise due caution at all times. Avoid areas of protests or demonstrations. Remain in regular contact with the Embassy of India in Iran”.
The embassy in Iran also released emergency contact helpline numbers 989128109115, 989128109109, 989128109102, 989932179359 and the email cons.tehran@mea.gov.in for citizens to contact in case of any emergency or otherwise.
