Tehran, Mar 1 (SPUTNIK/UNI) Tehran will continue to attack US bases in Middle East region while they remain under US control, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Larijani said on Sunday.
On Saturday, the United States and Israel launched a series of strikes on Iranian targets, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran launched retaliatory missile strikes on Israeli territory, as well as on US military infrastructure in the Middle East. On Sunday, Iranian state television confirmed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been killed in the attacks.
“The US bases are not the territory of the countries of the region, they are the territory of the United States. We do not intend to attack the countries of the region. We have attacked and will continue to attack bases in the region as long as they are under US control,” Larijani said on air of the state broadcaster.
