New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) ‘Modi Hug.’ This is the new expression in the relations between India and Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu coined the expression in his address before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech to the Knesset.
‘’Just as you came down the steps, we embraced each other. Because Prime Minister Modi’s personal embrace is something special. It is called the Modi Hug, well known around the world,’’ the Israeli Prime Minister said.
Earlier, Netanyahu and Prime Minister Modi hugged each other after he (Modi) came down from the plane.
‘’When you hug someone closely, truly, you know it’s the real thing. It’s called the Modi Hug,’’ Netanyahu said. Amid loud applause, he said he wanted to ‘’return the hug.’’
‘’It is not only an indication of personal relations and personal friendship between us, it really reflects the warmth of the ties between our two people,’’ Netanyahu said.
