Himachal: 32.56 grams of heroin seized in Baijnath; two arrested under NDPS Act

Dharamshala, (UNI) Police have seized 32.56 grams of chitta (heroin) and arrested two persons in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district, an officer said here on Wednesday.
Kangra District Superintendent of Police Ashok Rattan told UNI that, according to information received from Baijnath Police Station, the recovery was made on February 24 at Malehad village during a routine check.
He said that the accused have been identified as Prince Rana, a resident of Village Malehad, Post Office Kudeil, Tehsil Baijnath, District Kangra, and Sudhanshu Soni, a resident of Village and Post Office Lad Bharol, Tehsil Lad Bharol, District Mandi.
Police recovered 32.56 grams of heroin from their possession. A case has been registered under Sections 21, 25, 29, 61 and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Baijnath Police Station.
Further investigation is underway.
