Himachal: R.S. Bali urges students to aim high at Career Counselling workshop in Nagrota Bagwan

Kangra, (UNI) Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and Vice Chairman (Cabinet Rank) of the State Tourism Development Board, R. S. Bali, today emphasized that students must move ahead in life with a positive mindset and remain aware of the opportunities that can shape a bright future.

Addressing a one-day career counselling workshop organised for Class 12 students at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary Model School, Nagrota Bagwan, he said the youth of the Nagrota Bagwan Assembly constituency represent its future and guiding them toward suitable career paths is a priority.

The workshop was organised with the objective of helping Class 12 students explore career options aligned with their interests. Around 600 students from nearly 11 schools participated in the programme. Bali encouraged students to select career fields according to their aptitude and passion, stating that dedication toward a chosen goal ensures success.

He also urged students to stay away from drugs and to pursue their ambitions with focus and determination. On the occasion, he distributed diaries carrying his motivational message to the students and called upon them to uphold their family values, culture, and the name of Nagrota Bagwan.

During the event, Bali inaugurated a digital library at the school, which is expected to benefit students in their academic pursuits as well as preparation for competitive examinations.

Principals and educators, including Sachin Kumar of Government College Dehri, Nikhil Sharma of Government Girls School Nagrota, and Vijay Kumar, Director of Gunjan Organisation, also addressed the students and shared insights on emerging career opportunities.
