AAP’s slogan ‘Delhi in distress, remembering Kejriwal’ is a flop show: Sachdeva

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva has called Aam Aadmi Party’s new slogan and campaign “Delhi in distress, remembering Kejriwal” a complete flop show, adding that the present government in the national capital is working on the ground, transforming the situation, and accelerating development across the city.

Sachdeva said that the BJP government in Delhi is allocating Rs 100 to Rs 125 crore in development funds to all Assembly constituencies, which will soon ensure comprehensive development across all areas.

He alleged that during the past eleven years, the Arvind Kejriwal-led government had left Delhi’s roads, transport infrastructure, environment, sewer system, and ration card system in a bad condition.

However, within its very first year, the BJP government led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had significantly improved the condition of sewers and roads and had also initiated concrete measures to tackle environmental pollution, while policy-level action is being taken to cancel fake ration cards and issue ration cards to genuine beneficiaries, Sachdeva added.

According to the BJP leader, by providing free gas cylinders to poor women in Delhi on Holi and Diwali, along with Pink Bus Cards and an increase in maternity scheme benefits, the Rekha Gupta government has fulfilled yet another guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He further stated that in its first year, the BJP government has provided 2,000 electric buses to the people of the national capital, which was not only a boost to the public transport system, but a step towards reducing pollution.

Sachdeva said that what makes the present government unique is the kind of responsibility, accountability and answerability it has towards the people of Delhi.

We believe in delivering results on the ground, being sensitive towards people’s issues, and not being involved in announcements and just talks, he informed.

Earlier, AAP on Saturday had announced a month-long city-wide campaign titled ‘Delhi Behaal Samvad’ across all assembly constituencies, saying that it will take the BJP government’s record directly to the people. On completion of one year of the BJP government, AAP had raised the slogan ‘Ek Saal Delhi Behaal, Yaad Aa Rahe Kejriwal.’
