Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) Anurag Kahyap’s directorial 2026 venture ‘Bandar’ featuring Bobby Deol is set to hit the theatres worldwide on May 22.
After making waves with his powerful performances over the past few years, Deol will be seen in a completely different avatar in this intense drama. The film is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, with Zee Studios lending substantial backing to the project.
The screenplay is meticulously crafted by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, whose narrative sensibilities are known for their layered realism and taut dramatic construction.
‘Bandar’ has already created a buzz around the world even before its release. The film premiered under the Special Presentation category at the 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival in 2025, where it drew attention from global audiences and industry observers alike.
The ensemble cast further amplifies the film’s dramatic weight with the inclusion of Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Riddhi Sen and Nagesh Bhosale in pivotal roles.
