Bhopal: In a chilling incident in Bhopal’s Nishatpura area, a 30-year-old man, identified as Pankaj, ended his life after being allegedly driven to despair by his wife’s infidelity. Before taking the extreme step on Wednesday night, Pankaj recorded a 2-minute and 57-second video that has since gone viral. In the footage, he tearfully accuses his wife, Sandhya, and her lover, Vikas Palkar, of relentless harassment and mental torture, holding them directly responsible for his death.
= A spiral of despair
Pankaj, a resident of Ratanpur Colony, had been under severe emotional distress since his wife abandoned him to live with her lover. He claimed that beyond the betrayal, he was being intimidated with death threats and legal harassment. The victim alleged that a police complaint previously filed by his wife in Gandhi Nagar led to frequent, humiliating detentions at the police station, which shattered his mental resolve. Despite his repeated pleas for her to return home, he was met with hostility and threats.

Nishatpura police have registered a case and are currently authenticating the viral video. Officials have confirmed that the body was handed over to the family following a post-mortem on Thursday. Investigators are now questioning neighbors and relatives to corroborate the allegations of mental pressure. Authorities are also tracing the whereabouts of the accused wife and her partner, as the digital evidence suggests a tragic case of abetment to suicide fueled by domestic discord.
