Mumbai, Feb 18 (UNI) Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the opening match of the Super Eights phase of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Colombo, while reigning champions India face South Africa in a re-match of the thrilling 2024 title decider.
Group 1 of the Super Eights consists of India, Zimbabwe, West Indies and South Africa, while Group 2 includes Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England and New Zealand.
Each team will play their three group opponents during the Super Eights, with the top two sides from each group progressing to the knockout semi-finals.
Teams start the Super Eights with zero points. No points, wins or net run rate from the first round are carried forward.
