Bhopal: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bhopal marked the conclusion of the 68th National Productivity Week with a formal closing ceremony held on campus. National Productivity Week is observed annually from February 12 to 18 and commenced this year with the administration of a productivity pledge.
Throughout the week, a series of activities including essay and slogan competitions, webinars and other programmes were organised to promote awareness and engagement among employees. Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, Executive Director, attended as Chief Guest, in the presence of all General Managers and DROs.
In his address, Upadhyay emphasised that Productivity Week should not remain confined to a seven-day observance but become an integral part of daily work culture. He encouraged employees to devote five minutes each morning to reflect on making their routine tasks more productive.
In the essay competition, Tarun Kaushik, Sandeep Saini and Jeci Abraham secured first, second and third prizes respectively. In the slogan competition, Jitesh Kumar, Pranay Yadav and Yashwant won the top three positions.
The SWE Department received the ED’s IMPRESS Trophy for achieving the highest IP Index in 2024–25. Hem Ram Patel, General Manager (SCR), and Mohammad Azam, AGM, were present. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, General Manager (SOM), compered by J Rajgopal, AGM (SYX & PYX), and concluded with a vote of thanks by Bhagwan Singh.
