Dial-112 team foils suicide bid

Bhopal: In a swift and courageous intervention, the Dial-112 emergency response team of the Madhya Pradesh Police saved a man who was attempting to take his own life following a family dispute. The incident occurred on 14 February at around 3.25 pm, when the State-level Police Control Room in Bhopal received information that a man in the Hindoria police station area had locked himself inside his house near Anu village school and was attempting to hang himself.

Acting promptly, the Dial-112 First Response Vehicle stationed at Hindoria was dispatched to the scene. Constable Chandrakant Pandey and pilot Ashish Ahirwar forced open the gate, brought the man down from the noose, and provided immediate first aid before handing him over to his family.

The timely and sensitive action prevented a major tragedy, underscoring the police force’s commitment to protecting lives in moments of crisis.
