Bhopal: The emergency response service Dial 112 once again proved to be a lifeline in a moment of crisis after its swift intervention ensured timely medical assistance to 12 people injured in a road accident near Vilayat Ghat on Friday morning.
According to official information, the mishap occurred at around 8.00 am on 13 February 2026 near the Nayara petrol pump at Vilayat Ghat, when a pickup vehicle lost control and overturned. The vehicle was carrying villagers returning to Akhadar after attending a social function in Patrahata. Women and children were among the 12 occupants who sustained injuries in the accident.
On receiving the alert at the State-level police control room in Bhopal, the Dial 112 team stationed under Chandia police station limits was immediately dispatched to the scene. Constable Sunil Sikarwar and pilot Vijay Kumar Yadav reached the spot promptly and began relief operations without delay. The injured were provided first aid and transported in the First Response Vehicle and an ambulance to the Community Health Centre in Chandia for treatment.
Officials said the team’s promptness, sensitivity and professional conduct helped avert potentially serious consequences. The exemplary service has strengthened public confidence in emergency policing, and the personnel involved are being commended at the headquarters level for their dedication and humanitarian commitment.
