Bhopal: A two-day seminar on the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Right to Information Act concluded successfully at the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy in Bhauri, Bhopal, earlier this week.
The primary objective of the seminar was to strengthen the legal understanding of police officers, ensure lawful action in sensitive cases, and enhance awareness regarding effective implementation of the Right to Information Act. Officers from various units of the Madhya Pradesh Police participated in the programme.
During the sessions, participants were briefed on the latest amendments to the Acts and recent legal interpretations delivered by the courts. Detailed discussions were held on procedural safeguards, investigation standards and compliance requirements. Through case studies, officers received practical training on handling complex cases and applying legal provisions effectively in real-life situations.
At the valedictory session, Deputy Director of the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, distributed certificates to the participants and encouraged them to uphold legal sensitivity and transparency in their duties.
