Mumbai, Feb 9 (UNI) The makers of “The Kerala Story 2” have unveiled ‘O Maayi Ri’, an emotionally resonant song that offers a poignant glimpse into the film’s sombre and unsettling narrative.
Directed by National Award winner Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film tells the disturbing story of three Hindu girls, played by Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha, and Aditi Bhatia.
Their lives begin to descend into darkness when they enter into relationships with three Muslim men. What begins as a love story gradually unravels a conspiracy-ridden and horrifying truth centered on religious conversion.
Rendered with haunting sensitivity by Shreya Ghoshal, the track carries an aching vulnerability that mirrors the inner turmoil of the characters. Mannan Shah’s soulful composition and Manoj Muntashir’s emotional lyrics make this song even more special.
Following the tremendous impact of “The Kerala Story,” which shook the entire nation with its bold story, its sequel promises to go even further. “The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond” is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, with Aashin A Shah co-producing it under the banner of Sunshine Pictures. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on February 27, 2026.
